perspective

Ria and I were chatting about money, and I asked her what three things she'd do to change her life if she could afford anything.

Her first choice was to buy a crystal we'd recently seen in a gift shop for four euros (about five dollars).

Her second was to buy the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, to use as a house. "There are restaurants up there, so we could go out to dinner every night!"

Her third choice was to install a door in our house in Bellingham that opened to Provence. I pointed out that money can't buy this, so it's not an option. She thought about it for a while, and settled on a cake made out of cookies that we saw in a shop window.
