Annabelle came to the apartment at ten, and we all set off to spend the day being tourists in her city. Annabelle lives in the suburbs, and works in La Defense, the business district, so she doesn't get to see the most beautiful aspects of Paris that we lucky tourists do.
We started at the Carousel in the beautiful square in front of the Hotel de Ville (the mayor's home and offices), perhaps Ria's favorite place in all of Paris. We rode around, three of us wondering at the point of it all, and the fourth over-the-top happy.
